is it safe to put speakers in your bike?

my friend, in his infinite nerdiness, developed and designed a large speaker/MP3 player, one that fits directly down the seat tube, all the way to the bottom bracket (the bike he built it for [mine] has an uninterrupted seat tube). is this safe, vibration-wise? the speakers are pretty powerful, and i want to know if carbon fiber is affected by vibrations (bass).
hey, im a downhiller, i wear full face, i dont listen to music when riding (too distracting from the scenery), and i think he is insane as well. but...its a freakin' speaker bike! it is going in my old road bike for commuting.
